The concept of Hats in Aero allows you to track how much time is being spent by your team wearing various different hats. You can set up a list of Hats that represent different functions, such as CFO, Controller, Bookkeeper, Admin, Sales, etc. Or you can set up a list of Hats that represent specialties– Bill.com guru, QuickBooks Online Expert, Social Media Maven, etc.
To create a new Hat, navigate to Setup > Hats. On the Setup Hats screen, click the down arrow to the right of Setup Hats and choose Add a New Hat. The Create Hat window will pop up – fill out the following fields to create a hat:
Name *Required | The Hat name. |
Active | If the box is checked, the Hat is currently active and will show in the Hat dropdown menu in the Aero screens. |
Close | Click the Close button to return to the Setup Hats Screen without saving. |
Save and Close | Click the Save and Close button to save the new Hat and return to the Setup Hats screen. |
