You can use the Billing Rate Options on the My Company page to choose an hourly rate based on something other than your QuickBooks Online Service Items. But that setting is an all or nothing. If you have an hourly rate that is more of a matrix or pricing levels, you can use Batch Update Time to achieve that.
Let's say you have a pricing structure that is dependent on two different factors, like a type of service and who on your team provides the service. Here's how you can adjust your rates to reflect that:
- Navigate to Manage > Batch Update Time
- Enter a date range and your two factors, in our example you would choose an Aero type and a Team member. Click the Next button.
- Type the rate you want to charge into the Change Hourly Rate box, Check the box in the header of the Date column to select all time entries, then click the Change Selected Times button. If the selected times have already synced to QuickBooks Online or TSheets, they will be updated in QuickBooks Online or TSheets with the new rate as well.
- Repeat steps 2 and 3 as needed.
